It is a significant milestone event for the BACE Project as the Project is aimed at creating or modernizing educational programs in the field of health and environment, modernizing the governance of higher education institutions and will help strengthen ties between the Free Economic Zone of Ukraine and other countries with the economic and social environment.
During the BACE Project Management meeting, management team has discussed the progress and future development of the project, especially by reaching Objective 1 (Developing curricula and delivering new courses on priority GH topics - Six new training courses on major GH topics)
Objective 2 (Developing curricula and delivering accredited new courses on GH research methods at the seven Partner HEIs)
Objective 3 (Establishing and functioning of the Eastern Europe/Central Asia (EECA) Regional Alliance for Global Health)
Progress of reaching all three objectives of the BACE Project has been on the agenda, as well as the influence of war in Ukraine on the progress of the BACE Project.
Possible difficulties of the participants’ from Ukrainian institution traveling for some of the events have been discussed
Peculiarities of reaching Objective 1 (Developing curricula and delivering new courses on priority GH topics - Six new training courses on major GH topics) were discussed.

Special attention was paid on the quality plan
Future planned monitoring and evaluation events have been discussed with the possible risks estimation as well as the dissemination activities.

Within the Objective 3, the 1st regional conference of the Eurasian Academic Alliance for Global Health, which will be held online on September 17-18.
The meeting on September 17-18 is the first event organized by the Alliance. The objective is to introduce the Alliance's objectives, to discuss about priority global health issues and to discuss about opportunities for collaboration.
Future participants can register themselves for the conference to receive the Zoom link for participation.

Current members of the Alliance are working on developing new curricula for global health courses and are receiving technical support from German and Norwegian universities. These curricula can be used by all universities in the region which would like to include global health elective courses into their Master or Doctor of public health programs. A potential next step might be developing a regional Certificate Program on Global Health, which can be a predecessor of a future Master of Global Health program. These issues, among many others, will be discussed at the meeting.
